Series contents Chapter 4 of 19
Understand your Masters and choose your next worthwhile upgrade. 13 guides and 6 practical reference sheets on Valora, Pan and Roman: a clear explanation, a next step, and the useful details close at hand.
See the series overviewBefore buying a resource, read the requirement you have not met. An Affinity level, an Emblem and a Manuscript unlock different things.
Use this chapter to diagnose the problem. You do not have to reread everything; start with what you see on screen.
“My relationship will not advance to the next level”
First, check whether you have reached a multiple of ten: 10, 20, 30, and so on. Advancing past it requires Emblems.
Action: open the relationship details and read how many Emblems are required. Do not use more gifts in the hope that they will replace those Emblems.
The total cost of advancements through the final milestone is 275 Emblems for Valora or Pan, and 440 for Roman. Those are relationship totals, not the price of a single step. The advancement table shows each one.
“I reached the right number, but Expertise did not improve”
Reaching an Affinity milestone and completing its advancement are two different things. Then check the level and effect under Master Details → Expertise.
The milestones in this series link advancements for the first three Masters to their eleven Expertise levels: starting Expertise, followed by ten advancements. When we say “Pan at milestone 50,” we mean that the milestone has been completed, not that the number merely appears on a progress bar.
Current tables support this mapping; the effect shown in your own Expertise tab remains the reference for your account.
“My skill has enough XP, but its level will not increase”
Learning and confirming a level are separate steps.
Learning fills the skill's XP bar. Manuscripts are then needed to advance its level, along with any other requirements. A finished timer does not pay the Manuscript cost for you.
Action: open the skill details. Check its XP, Manuscripts and listed requirements in turn. The skill reference sheet lists the costs.
“I do not have enough Skill Power”
This is not a currency you can buy. The requirement depends on progress across that Master's four skills.
Under the model supported by the tables, each level contributes to the total. If the other skills are too low, your target skill may remain locked even when you have plenty of Manuscripts.
Action: look at that Master's other skills. If their next levels are themselves blocked by Affinity, progress the relationship first. The milestone guide gives a concrete example without complicated calculations.
“I want more chests: which resource do I need?”
For Pan's gathering Expertise and Roman's chests, look at the relationship and Emblems. For more hammers with Valora, look at her reward skill and its Manuscripts, once the skill is unlocked.
This distinction prevents a wasted purchase: extra Manuscripts cannot substitute for a relationship advancement.
Remember the relationship stats
Expertise is not the only gain. The relationship can also increase Troop Attack or Defense: Valora improves Attack, Pan improves Defense, and Roman improves both. Current maximums reach +15% on each relevant stat.
Do not confuse these stats with hero or escort skills in the Arena, or with research after level 100. Read where each bonus applies.
Use the learning queue well
Only one skill can be learned at a time across all Masters. Choose a useful destination and rely on the timer shown in your game for the actual duration.
Players report using general speedups on this screen. Before spending them, check what your account offers: you may need them elsewhere too. Official support confirms that speedups already used are not returned if you cancel learning.
What about excess XP or Affinity?
Some observations suggest that excess progress can be retained behind certain blocks. We have not yet verified every situation.
Without taking an unnecessary risk: keep learning a useful skill when the interface permits it, but do not spend a large reserve solely to fill a presumed overflow. Before a planned advancement, a small before and after check is enough to test your case; there is no need to sacrifice a reserve.
Practical case: does your skill need Emblems or Manuscripts?
If a relationship step at a multiple of ten is waiting, check your Emblems. If a skill level is ready after learning, check your Manuscripts and the other prerequisites. The resource named on screen decides, not the color of the progress bar.
