🎓 KINGSHOT MASTERS — THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO GETTING STARTED

When Masters arrive in your kingdom, Kingshot can feel as if it has added a second game inside the game.

Affinity, Relationship, Expertise, Skills, Skill Power, Emblems, Manuscripts, Realm Journey, Lostlands, Master Research…

The good news: you do not need to memorize everything.

To play well, you mainly need to understand how the system fits together, know which Master matches the way you play, and avoid spending resources simply because an upgrade button is available.

This guide gives you everything you need to make good decisions from day one.

⚡ THE ESSENTIALS IN 60 SECONDS

  1. Realm Journey lets you meet Masters and gain Affinity.
  2. At 1,000 Affinity, a Master becomes a resident and their real progression begins.
  3. Their Affinity then progresses up to 100.
  4. Every 10 levels, an Advancement requires Master Emblems.
  5. Their Expertise progresses with the Relationship and grants a passive bonus.
  6. Their Skills progress separately through Learning and Master’s Manuscripts.
  7. All Masters share a single Learning Queue.
  8. Valora focuses on Bear, Pan on daily economy, and Roman on Arena.
  9. At Affinity 100, the Master is not finished: Master Research begins.
  10. The best strategy is not to max everything: aim for useful breakpoints, then reassess.

1. WHAT ARE MASTERS?

The system looks complicated because several different progression systems appear on the same screens.

To keep things clear, imagine that each Master follows three progression paths in parallel.

🤝 Their relationship with you

Affinity → Relationship → Expertise

📚 What they learn

Skills → Learning → Manuscripts → Skill Power

👑 Their very long-term progression

Master Research → Mastery

These three paths are connected, but they are not the same thing.

2. THE TERMS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Affinity

Affinity represents your Relationship progression with the Master.

Before they become a resident, you must reach 1,000 Affinity. Their resident Relationship progression then begins and continues up to level 100.

Relationship

Every 10 Affinity levels, you must complete an Advancement using Master Emblems.

Think of it like a building: Affinity moves you up the floors and, every 10 floors, Emblems open the next door.

Expertise

Expertise is the Master’s unique passive bonus.

You do not spend Manuscripts on it. It progresses as you reach the major Relationship milestones.

Skills

Each Master has four Skills. They require Learning time, Learning XP, and then Master’s Manuscripts. Some levels also require a minimum amount of Affinity or Skill Power.

Skill Power

Skill Power is not a resource you spend.

With the current mechanics of the initial trio, it most likely corresponds to the sum of the levels of the Master’s four Skills.

Example: 5 + 4 + 4 + 7 = 20 Skill Power.

Mastery / Master Research

At Affinity 100, the Relationship is complete, but the Master is not. You then unlock Master Research, a much longer progression system.

3. HOW TO UNLOCK AND MEET MASTERS

The Master System currently requires:

  • Town Center level 25 or higher;
  • a kingdom that has reached the required age.

Do not treat a specific kingdom day as a universal rule.

The main engine of the system is then Realm Journey.

4. REALM JOURNEY: YOUR STARTING POINT

Realm Journey allows you to:

  • meet Masters;
  • gain Affinity;
  • collect various rewards;
  • progress toward Auto Journey and Lostlands.

Regular encounters are random. You can optimize the choices within an encounter, but you cannot choose which encounter appears.

5. JOURNEY SUPPLIES: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

You start with 30 Journey Supplies.

UTC TimeSupplies
00:00+20
08:00+10
16:00+10

That is 40 free Journey Supplies per day.

You can also buy 5 Supplies for 1,000 Gems, up to 4 times per day, for a maximum of 20 extra Supplies for 4,000 Gems.

Should you buy all 20 every day?

No.

Buy them mainly when they help you reach a clear objective: Auto, Lostlands, or an important Master breakpoint.

6. THE TWO THRESHOLDS TO REMEMBER: 50 AND 60

50 Realm Journeys = Auto Journey

Auto speeds up repetitive sequences.

For optimization, the best compromise is generally Auto + manual choices.

60 Realm Journeys = Lostlands

Lostlands consumes Adventure Supplies and lets you choose a known Master.

A known Master is one you have already encountered and with whom you have already gained Affinity.

When Lostlands unlocks, you currently receive 10 Adventure Supplies.

7. HOW TO USE LOSTLANDS INTELLIGENTLY

Do not automatically target the Master with the lowest Affinity.

Target the one who is closest to a useful breakpoint.

Examples:

  • Pan is close to a stronger Efficient Reserves level;
  • Valora is approaching Weapon Obsession;
  • Roman is approaching Affinity 50;
  • a Master is only a few points away from an important Advancement.

The right question is: “Which Master gives me the next meaningful gain?”

8. THE IMPORTANT RESOURCES

Affinity

Progresses the Relationship.

Master Emblems

They are used to pass the milestones every 10 levels.

Up to Affinity 100:

  • Valora: 275
  • Pan: 275
  • Roman: 440

Master’s Manuscripts

They are used to validate Skill levels.

The trap is to distribute them “evenly.” Even does not mean optimal.

Gifts

The known Gifts provide:

  • Copper Horn: +10 Affinity;
  • Silver Goblet: +100;
  • Elite Spices: +1,000.

Once the Master is a resident, they help you reach milestones faster.

9. ONE LEARNING QUEUE FOR ALL MASTERS

Valora, Pan, and Roman share the same Learning Queue.

If Roman is Learning for a long time, Pan and Valora cannot Learn during that time.

The real cost of a Skill is therefore not only the number of Manuscripts: queue time matters too.

10. THE RULE THAT PREVENTS THE MOST WASTE

DO NOT MAX A MASTER. AIM FOR AN OBJECTIVE.

An objective could be:

  • Weapon Obsession on Valora;
  • a new chest-production level on Pan;
  • Roman Affinity 50;
  • another free Mystery Shop refresh;
  • Affinity 100 to unlock Master Research.

Once you reach that objective: stop and reassess.

11. VALORA, PAN, OR ROMAN?

There is no universal “best Master.”

The best one depends on what you actually do in Kingshot.

🐻 VALORA — FOR BEAR PLAYERS

Valora improves several aspects of Raging Bear:

  • personal Bear Hunt Damage Points;
  • rally capacity;
  • march capacity;
  • Forgehammer;
  • Enhancement XP.

Hunter Instinct

Her Expertise increases your personal Bear Hunt Damage Points by up to +30%.

Progression: 2 / 4 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 / 18 / 21 / 24 / 27 / 30%.

Dance of the Hunt

Increases Bear rally capacity by up to +300,000.

Very strong if you launch rallies that are actually filled. Much less important if you never lead rallies.

Weapon Obsession

Grants up to +5 Forgehammer per Bear.

A recurring gain should be evaluated over dozens of Bears, not just one event.

Leader by Example

Adds up to 5 × 100 Enhancement XP Parts per Bear.

Savage Advantage

Increases your Bear march capacity by up to +30,000.

Valora breakpoints to remember

  • Affinity 30: Weapon Obsession becomes available.
  • Affinity 50: a major cluster of useful options.
  • Affinity 70: Hunter +21%; Dance and Weapon can be pushed very far.
  • Affinity 80: the final major Skills become accessible.
  • Affinity 100: Hunter +30% + Master Research.

📦 PAN — FOR DAILY ECONOMY

Pan rewards:

  • gathering;
  • Intel;
  • Storehouse;
  • construction;
  • Mystery Shop.

Efficient Reserves

Pan converts total gathering time into Reserve Chests.

The chests can contain, among other things, Truegold, Gems, Enhancement XP, and General Speedups.

Falconer

Adds up to +8 Intel Missions per day.

Good Steward

Adds up to +40 Stamina when collecting the Storehouse.

Master Architect

Reduces a new construction timer by up to 8 hours.

Ways and Means

The major breakpoints are:

  • Lv4 → 2 free refreshes
  • Lv7 → 3
  • Lv10 → 4

Pan breakpoints to remember

  • Affinity 30: 2 chests per trigger.
  • Affinity 50: 3 chests, cap 20.
  • Affinity 60: a major group of Skills becomes available.
  • Affinity 70: 4 chests, cap 24.
  • Affinity 80: the final major Skills become accessible.
  • Affinity 100: 5 chests, cap 30 + Master Research.

⚔️ ROMAN — FOR ARENA PLAYERS

Roman is the most expensive of the initial trio, but some of his breakpoints are extremely powerful.

Star Belligerent

Provides a chance to receive extra Arena Star Chests.

Affinity 50 / Expertise 6

  • 75% chance;
  • 2 extra chests when it triggers.

This is a huge jump.

Affinity 100 / Expertise 11

  • 100%;
  • 3 extra chests per match.

Winner Take All

Increases Arena Token rewards by up to +50%.

Crowd Favorite

The major changes are:

  • Lv6 → 2 discounted items
  • Lv10 → 3 discounted items

Teacher of Champions / One Desire

Can provide up to +20% ATK / HP in their respective Arena contexts, but they are expensive.

Roman breakpoints to remember

  • Affinity 50: the first huge breakpoint.
  • Affinity 80: several major Skills become accessible.
  • Affinity 100: 3 guaranteed extra Star Chests per match + Master Research.

12. WHO SHOULD YOU UPGRADE FIRST?

ProfileNatural priority
Bear rally leaderValora
Very active Bear playerValora / Pan depending on breakpoints
Very active F2PPan is often excellent
Heavy gathererPan
Daily Arena playerRoman can become very strong
Competitive Arena playerRoman
Balanced playerSuccessive breakpoints across all three

If you do everything and are unsure:

  1. take an early strong economic breakpoint on Pan;
  2. pick up the high-value Bear breakpoints on Valora;
  3. target Roman through major milestones, especially Affinity 50;
  4. reassess after each step.

13. HOW TO CHOOSE AN UPGRADE

Before a major spend, ask yourself five questions.

1. Will I actually use this bonus?

A Bear Skill is worth very little if you regularly miss Bear.

2. Is this a real breakpoint?

A level that changes the number of chests, refreshes, or rewards deserves special attention.

3. What does the next level cost?

Look at the marginal cost, not only the total Skill cost.

4. Will I be blocked immediately afterward?

Check Affinity, Emblems, Skill Power, Manuscripts, and the Learning Queue.

5. Does another Master have a better breakpoint within reach?

This is often the most important question.

14. SPEND NOW OR WAIT FOR AN EVENT?

Some Master-related spending can generate a lot of points during:

  • KvK / Kingdom of Power;
  • Strongest Governor;
  • Alliance Brawl;
  • Armament Competition.

The relevant resources can include Manuscripts, Master Emblems, and minutes of speedups used to Learn Master Skills.

Always read the active event screen before spending.

Waiting often makes sense if:

  • KvK/SG is very close;
  • you are about to spend a large stockpile;
  • the upgrade is not urgent;
  • the points can push you over a meaningful milestone.

Waiting can be a mistake if:

  • Pan will increase your daily production;
  • Valora will add a reward to every Bear;
  • Roman will significantly increase your Star Chests;
  • your Learning Queue risks sitting idle for too long.

The right question is: “Is what I gain by waiting worth more than what I lose by delaying the bonus?”

15. GEMS, SUPPLIES, AND PACKS

Do not ask: “Which pack is best?”

Ask: “What is currently blocking my next progression step?”

If you have a huge stock of Manuscripts but not enough Affinity, buying more Manuscripts solves nothing.

Journey Supplies

Up to 20 extra per day for 4,000 Gems. Do not turn this into an automatic daily expense.

Adventure Supplies

They are especially valuable when you want to target a Master in Lostlands.

Packs

Look at:

  • what you are missing;
  • what you can use immediately;
  • what will sit unused;
  • which breakpoint the purchase actually unlocks.

16. AFFINITY 100: THIS IS NOT THE END

When a Master reaches Affinity 100 and the final Relationship stage, Master Research unlocks.

For Valora, Pan, and Roman:

  • 1,000 Research upgrades
  • 14,000 Emblems per Master
  • 600 upgrades at 10 Emblems each
  • 400 upgrades at 20 Emblems each

Valora Research

Up to Squad HP +32%, with an Infantry focus.

Pan Research

Up to Squad Lethality +32%, with an Archer focus.

Roman Research

Up to Squad ATK +32%, with a Cavalry focus.

17. MISTAKES TO AVOID

  • ❌ Thinking you need to max everything.
  • ❌ Distributing Manuscripts evenly.
  • ❌ Upgrading a Master just because a tier list ranks them S-tier.
  • ❌ Confusing Expertise with Skills.
  • ❌ Ignoring the shared Learning Queue.
  • ❌ Forgetting about Emblems.
  • ❌ Thinking Lostlands unlocks at 50: 50 = Auto, 60 = Lostlands.
  • ❌ Thinking Affinity 100 means “finished.”
  • ❌ Spending everything just before an important event.
  • ❌ Saving everything for KvK without measuring the cost of delaying progression.

18. YOUR FIRST 24-HOUR PLAN

1. Do your Realm Journeys

First objective: 50, then 60.

2. Do not spend all your Manuscripts immediately

First look at the Skills and their breakpoints.

3. Identify your profile

  • Bear → Valora
  • economy/gathering → Pan
  • Arena → Roman

4. Aim for a clear first breakpoint

Not “I’m upgrading Pan,” but “I want to reach Pan Affinity 30.”

5. Use Lostlands with a purpose

Do not waste Adventure Supplies without knowing why you are targeting that Master.

6. Keep your Learning Queue useful

There is only one queue for all Masters.

7. Check events before a major spend

A little patience can sometimes make the exact same spending much more valuable.

✅ CHECKLIST

  • 1,000 Affinity = Master becomes a resident.
  • 50 Journeys = Auto.
  • 60 Journeys = Lostlands.
  • I can distinguish Affinity, Expertise, and Skills.
  • I know Emblems are used for Advancements.
  • I know there is only one Learning Queue.
  • Valora = Bear, Pan = economy, Roman = Arena.
  • I aim for breakpoints instead of automatically maxing everything.
  • I check the event before a major spend.
  • Affinity 100 unlocks Master Research.

🏆 THE FINAL RULE

Do not ask:

“Which Master is the best?”

Ask:

## “Which next investment will actually improve my account?”

Your best choice might be Pan today, Valora tomorrow, and Roman next week.

The Master system is not a race to finish one character.

It is a succession of good breakpoints reached at the right time.
