πΎ PETS & REFINEMENT β THE ULTIMATE G2 β G3 GUIDE
How to level, refine, and prepare your Pets without wasting resources
Pets are much more than skills you activate from time to time.
Every Pet can provide:
- permanent Squad Attack and Defense bonuses;
- six secondary stats obtained through Refinement;
- a unique skill;
- useful combat power across every game mode.
But not every upgrade provides the same return on investment.
The real objective is therefore not to max every Pet. The question you should always ask is:
What is the next investment that will provide the most value to my account?
This guide is specifically designed for kingdoms currently in Generation 2, with the upcoming arrival of the Generation 3 Lion and Grizzly Bear.
ββββββββββββββββββ
β‘ THE 30-SECOND PLAN
If Generation 3 is arriving in roughly two to three weeks:
Before G3
β Get your Moose to Level 15 to prepare for unlocking the Lion.
β If your Cheetah is already Level 20 or higher, you should generally stop investing in it.
β Save your Pet Food, Growth Manuals, Nutrient Potions, and Promotion Medallions.
β Save all your Advanced Taming Marks.
β Save most of your Common Taming Marks as well.
When G3 arrives
π₯ Capture and develop the Lion first.
π₯ Develop the Grizzly Bear next, depending on how PvP-focused your account is.
π― Recommended first target:
- Lion Level 40;
- Grizzly Bear Level 20β30;
- then Lion Level 50.
𧬠For Refinement:
- use Common Taming Marks for the early qualities;
- use Advanced Taming Marks once progression becomes difficult;
- prioritize Infantry Health and Archer Lethality for general combat;
- prioritize Archer Lethality for Bear Hunt.
The Lion requires a Level 15 Moose before it can be captured, while G3 Pets become available around Day 110β113 of a kingdom depending on the release schedule.

ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£ THE THREE SYSTEMS YOU MUST NOT CONFUSE
The Pet system is built around three separate progression systems.
π 1. Leveling
Pet levels are increased using Pet Food.
Each level gradually improves the Petβs main bonuses, including:
- Squad Attack;
- Squad Defense.
Pets from newer generations or higher rarities generally provide stronger main stats at comparable levels.
β 2. Advancement
Every ten levels, a Pet reaches an Advancement threshold.
To continue progressing, you will need different resources:
- π Growth Manuals;
- π§ͺ Nutrient Potions at higher levels;
- π Promotion Medallions at advanced thresholds.
Advancement allows you to:
- continue leveling the Pet;
- improve its unique skill;
- unlock higher Refinement qualities.
Promotion Medallions become especially important when progressing beyond Level 50.
𧬠3. Refinement
Refinement uses two different resources:
- πΉ Common Taming Mark;
- πΈ Advanced Taming Mark.
Refinement does not increase your Petβs level.
Instead, it improves six permanent secondary stats:
| Troop Type | Stats |
|---|---|
| π‘οΈ Infantry | Health and Lethality |
| π Cavalry | Health and Lethality |
| πΉ Archers | Health and Lethality |
Kingshot officially separates Pet Food, Common Taming Marks, Advanced Taming Marks, Growth Manuals, Nutrient Potions, and Promotion Medallions because each resource serves a different purpose in Pet progression.
ββββββββββββββββββ
2οΈβ£ HOW DOES REFINEMENT ACTUALLY WORK?
Whenever you perform a Refinement, the game generates a new roll for all six secondary stats.
For example, you might receive:
- β¬οΈ Infantry Health;
- β¬οΈ Infantry Lethality;
- β¬οΈ Cavalry Health;
- β¬οΈ Cavalry Lethality;
- β¬οΈ Archer Health;
- β¬οΈ Archer Lethality.
You then choose between:
β Replace
You accept the new values.
π Continue or reroll
You keep your previous values and may perform another Refinement.
But there is one extremely important rule:
The Taming Mark is consumed even if you reject the new result.
Once new Refinement stats are confirmed, the change is irreversible.
Direct consequence
Do not chase a perfect roll every single time.
The correct question is:
Does this result improve my account enough to justify the Taming Mark that has already been consumed?
ββββββββββββββββββ
3οΈβ£ THE MOST IMPORTANT MECHANIC: QUALITY LOCKING
Every Refinement stat has both a value and a quality.
As it progresses, it moves through different quality tiers:
βͺ Common π’ Uncommon π΅ Rare π£ Epic π Mythic π΄ Legendary
Some older guides display only five qualities, while newer versions and tables include an additional tier. If this changes after an update, always treat the Refinement Rules screen inside your own version of Kingshot as the final authority.
The important mechanic remains the same:
Once a stat reaches a higher quality, it can never fall back into the previous quality tier.
Its numerical value can still decrease within its current quality, but the quality itself remains permanently secured.
π§ Example
Your Infantry Health is currently Rare.
You perform another Refinement:
- Infantry Health becomes Epic;
- Archer Lethality increases slightly;
- three secondary stats decrease;
- Total Power decreases.
Should you accept it?
Very often:
β YES
Why?
Because the Epic quality on Infantry Health is now permanently secured.
The temporary losses on your other stats can be recovered through future Refinements, while this quality promotion can no longer be lost.
ββββββββββββββββββ
4οΈβ£ WHY THE POWER NUMBER CAN MISLEAD YOU
Kingshot normally displays an overall Power change:
π’ Power increase; π΄ Power decrease.
But that number does not understand your strategy.
The game evaluates the overall change in Total Power, not the strategic importance of each individual stat.
Imagine this result:
Gains
- Archer Health;
- Infantry Lethality;
- Cavalry Health.
Losses
- Infantry Health;
- Archer Lethality.
Your Total Power may still increase.
However, on an Infantry- and Archer-focused account, you may have just weakened two of your most valuable stats.
The opposite is also possible: a red result can be excellent if it permanently secures a higher quality on a critical stat.
KingSlayer Labs Rule
Check quality promotions first, priority stats second, and Total Power only after that.
ββββββββββββββββββ
5οΈβ£ G2 VS G3 REFINEMENT CAPS
Generation 3 Pets have significantly higher Refinement caps than Generation 2 Pets.
| Quality | π Cheetah / π« Moose G2 | π¦ Lion / π» Grizzly Bear G3 |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 3.02% | 4.36% |
| Uncommon | 6.03% | 8.72% |
| Rare | 10.06% | 14.53% |
| Epic | 14.08% | 20.34% |
| Mythic | 20.11% | 29.05% |
| Legendary* | 26.00% | 38.00% |
- The final tier and its exact label may depend on the version currently available in your kingdom.
At the same quality, the G3 stat ceiling is approximately 44β46% higher than the equivalent G2 ceiling.
What this means
β G3 Pets have significantly greater permanent stat potential.
What this does NOT mean
β Every Taming Mark used on a G3 Pet automatically gives 44% more stats.
The maximum ceiling is higher, but the actual return from each attempt still depends on:
- RNG;
- current quality;
- Pet level;
- your six existing stat values;
- which rolls you accept or reject.
That is why you should think in terms of marginal value, not simply maximum potential.
ββββββββββββββββββ
6οΈβ£ PET LEVEL ALSO LIMITS REFINEMENT
A Level 10 Pet cannot immediately reach the highest Refinement qualities.
Pet level gradually raises the maximum quality you can reach:
| Pet Level | Quality Generally Available |
|---|---|
| 10 | Common |
| 20 | Uncommon |
| 30 | Rare |
| 40 | Epic |
| 50 | Mythic and higher progression |
Higher Refinement qualities therefore require two separate investments:
- level and advance the Pet;
- then spend Taming Marks on Refinement.
Consequence
Dumping all your Taming Marks into a Level 10 Lion is not optimal.
You first need to level it enough for its Refinement stats to reach the valuable higher qualities.
ββββββββββββββββββ
7οΈβ£ HOW TO DECIDE WHETHER TO ACCEPT OR REJECT A REFINEMENT
Use this decision order.
Step 1 β Did any stat reach a new quality?
Yes
Immediately check which one.
A promotion on:
- Infantry Health;
- Archer Lethality;
- or another key stat for your specific profile
will often justify accepting the roll even if Total Power decreases slightly.
Step 2 β No quality promotion
Compare your priority stats.
They improve significantly
β Usually accept.
They decrease significantly
β οΈ Check whether the other gains genuinely compensate for the loss.
Step 3 β Check Total Power
Power should be your final indicator, not your first decision rule.
Step 4 β Consider the cost of another roll
Rejecting the roll preserves your old stats, but the Taming Mark has already been consumed.
Do not reject a good improvement simply because it is not perfect.
ββββββββββββββββββ
𧬠QUICK DECISION TREE
Did an important stat reach a new quality?
β‘οΈ Usually accept.
No quality promotion, but your priority stats increased?
β‘οΈ Probably accept.
Power increased, but Infantry Health and Archer Lethality dropped heavily?
β‘οΈ Analyze before accepting.
Small gains on low-priority stats but a large loss on your specialization?
β‘οΈ Usually reject.
Are all six stats still very low?
β‘οΈ Overall positive gains are generally still valuable.
ββββββββββββββββββ
8οΈβ£ WHICH STATS SHOULD YOU PRIORITIZE?
There is no universal perfect ranking for every player.
Your priorities depend on the content you play.
βοΈ General Combat, Castle, and KvK
The two most valuable stats are generally:
π₯ Infantry Health
Infantry protects your backline. Higher Health allows your frontline to survive longer.
π₯ Archer Lethality
Archers are usually a major source of damage. Increasing Archer Lethality directly improves your offensive potential.
The other stats remain useful, but these two are often the deciding factor when comparing difficult Refinement rolls.
π» Bear Hunt
Bear Hunt is primarily a pure damage event.
General priority:
- πΉ Archer Lethality;
- π Cavalry Lethality;
- π‘οΈ Infantry Lethality;
- Health stats.
Health does not provide the same offensive value here as it does in actual PvP combat.
Important
The Moose skill Horror Stare reduces enemy Squad Health. It should not be treated as an additional source of Bear Hunt damage because the Bear is not handled like a normal PvP enemy squad in this context.
π° Garrison and Defense
Prioritize:
- Infantry Health;
- Health for your second line;
- Lethality for your main damage source.
The goal is to keep your frontline alive while maintaining enough offensive pressure.
π£ Rally Leader
Prioritize general PvP stats:
- Infantry Health;
- Archer Lethality;
- then your other offensive stats.
The Grizzly Bear also becomes more valuable because of its combat-oriented skill.
ββββββββββββββββββ
9οΈβ£ REFINEMENT BONUSES STACK
Refinement does not only affect the Pet whose skill you activate.
The secondary stats from all your Pets stack together at account level.
Example:
- Moose: +5% Archer Lethality;
- Cheetah: +7% Archer Lethality;
- Lion: +9% Archer Lethality.
Your account receives:
β +21% Archer Lethality
This means that an older Pet with good Refinement stats still retains value.
But it does not mean you should continue refining it forever.
The real question becomes:
Which Pet will provide the best permanent return from my next Taming Mark?
New-generation Pets have higher ceilings, while an older Pet sitting very close to a quality promotion can sometimes still offer a cheap and efficient upgrade.
ββββββββββββββββββ
π COMMON OR ADVANCED TAMING MARKS?
πΉ Common Taming Marks
These are best suited to the early stages of Refinement.
Recommended uses:
- Common β Uncommon;
- Uncommon β Rare;
- easy promotions on Pets with low Refinement progress.
πΈ Advanced Taming Marks
These should be preserved for more difficult progression.
Recommended uses:
- Rare β Epic;
- Epic β Mythic;
- advanced qualities on newer-generation Pets.
Kingshot officially confirms that Common and Advanced Taming Marks are used for two different forms of Refinement, but does not publish an exact probability table for their possible outcomes.
Any claim such as:
βAn Advanced Taming Mark has exactly X% chance of successβ
should therefore be treated as an estimate unless it is supported by a sufficiently large real-world dataset.
Simple Rule
Stats still low?
β‘οΈ Common Taming Marks.
Stats already Rare or Epic?
β‘οΈ Advanced Taming Marks.
New generation arriving soon?
β‘οΈ Save them.
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£1οΈβ£ THE BEST REFINEMENT STRATEGY
The wrong approach is to choose one Pet and try to completely finish all six stats before moving to the next one.
The further a Pet progresses, the more expensive and RNG-dependent each additional improvement becomes.
Meanwhile, another Pet may still have several easy quality promotions available.
Optimal Hybrid Strategy
Step 1
Secure the inexpensive early qualities.
Step 2
Favor newer-generation Pets because of their higher potential.
Step 3
When one Pet starts consuming many Taming Marks without meaningful promotions, compare it with your other Pets.
Step 4
Move to the Pet with the most stats close to their next secured quality.
Step 5
Always preserve a reserve for the next generation.
Do not chase one perfect Pet. Chase the maximum permanent stats per Taming Mark spent.
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£2οΈβ£ WHICH PETS SHOULD YOU LEVEL IN GENERATION 2?
πΊ Gray Wolf
Its skill temporarily increases Construction Speed.
It is useful early in the kingdom, but its value gradually decreases as newer Pets become available.
When G3 is approaching
β‘οΈ Keep it at its current level. β‘οΈ Stop allocating your main resources to it. β‘οΈ Do not use Advanced Taming Marks on it.
π Lynx
The Lynx restores Stamina.
Level 20 is an excellent efficiency breakpoint because its skill restores approximately 40 Stamina at that point.
This does not mean leveling it further is always wrong, but it is no longer a priority when G3 is approaching.
Recommendation
β‘οΈ Level 20: excellent breakpoint. β‘οΈ Beyond that: secondary priority before Lion.
𦬠Bison
The Bison instantly completes gathering when your next march reaches a Wilderness resource tile.
Its skill remains useful, but it does not directly improve your combat performance.
Recommendation
β‘οΈ Keep it at a functional level. β‘οΈ Do not sacrifice your G3 preparation to level it further.
π Cheetah
The Cheetah finds Pet Food every 23 hours.
Its skill progresses as follows:
| Skill Level | Pet Food Obtained |
|---|---|
| 1 | 200 |
| 2 | 250 |
| 3 | 300 |
| 4 | 350 |
| 5 | 400 |
| 6 | 450 |
| 7 | 500 |
The Cheetah is useful, but the marginal return from additional levels becomes very slow when G3 is close.
π« Moose
The Moose temporarily reduces enemy Squad Health.
Its skill can eventually reach:
- β5% enemy Squad Health;
- for 2 hours;
- with a 20-hour cooldown at maximum level.
However, its immediate importance comes from one essential requirement:
π¦ Level 15 Moose is required to prepare for capturing the Lion.
Recommendation when G3 is approaching
β‘οΈ Moose below Level 15: raise it to Level 15 immediately. β‘οΈ Moose Level 15 or higher: generally stop. β‘οΈ Continue only if you deliberately want to improve its PvP skill and already have more than enough resources reserved for G3.
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£3οΈβ£ THE CHEETAH TRAP: CALCULATING RETURN ON INVESTMENT
The Cheetah gives you free Pet Food, which can make every additional level look automatically profitable.
Letβs examine the upgrade from Level 20 to Level 30.
It costs approximately:
- 13,530 Pet Food;
- 50 Growth Manuals.
Its skill increases from:
- 250 Pet Food;
- to 300 Pet Food.
The additional return is therefore only:
+50 Pet Food every 23 hours
Pet Food payback calculation:
13,530 Γ· 50 = approximately 271 activations
At one activation every 23 hours:
β approximately 259 days
It therefore takes roughly eight and a half months to recover the Pet Food invested, without assigning any value at all to the 50 Growth Manuals spent.
Important nuance
This calculation only measures the additional Pet Food generated.
The Cheetah also gains:
- Attack;
- Defense;
- a higher Refinement ceiling.
So the upgrade is not worthless.
However, this calculation proves one important point:
Only a few days before G3, upgrading Cheetah from Level 20 to Level 30 purely to generate an extra 50 Pet Food is a poor investment.
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£4οΈβ£ GENERATION 3 β THE LION
The Lion is the main Generation 3 priority for most players.
Its skill, Gift of the King, periodically unearths an item lost in the Badland.
Reported rewards can include:
- True Gold;
- Forge Hammers;
- Chief Charm materials;
- Chief Gear or Artisan-related materials;
- other progression items.
The reward remains random. Leveling the Lion mainly reduces the skill cooldown; it does not guarantee any specific reward.
Lion Cooldown
| Lion Level | Skill Level | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | 1 | 51h |
| 20 | 2 | 47h |
| 30 | 3 | 43h |
| 40 | 4 | 39h |
| 50 | 5 | 35h |
| 60 | 6 | 31h |
| 70 | 7 | 27h |
| 80 | 8 | 23h |
Why the Lion Is So Valuable
Unlike a skill that is useful only during specific battles, the Lion generates value throughout the entire life of your account.
Every cooldown reduction increases the number of times you can activate Gift of the King over the following months.
Recommended Breakpoints
Lion Level 10
Minimum required to unlock its skill.
Lion Level 30
A good first breakpoint if your resources are limited.
Lion Level 40
π― First major recommended target
You gain:
- a reduced 39-hour cooldown;
- stronger main stats;
- access to significantly more valuable Refinement progression.
Lion Level 50
π― Second recommended target
Gift of the King drops to a 35-hour cooldown without requiring Promotion Medallions simply to reach Level 50.
Lion Level 51+
Once you want to progress beyond Level 50, Promotion Medallions begin to matter.
At that point, compare further Lion progression against:
- Grizzly Bear development;
- future Pets;
- your Promotion Medallion stock.
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£5οΈβ£ GENERATION 3 β THE GRIZZLY BEAR
The Grizzly Bear is the combat-focused Pet of Generation 3.
Its skill, The Howler, simultaneously provides:
- increased March Speed;
- reduced enemy Squad Lethality.
The buff lasts 2 hours and has a 20-hour cooldown.
| Grizzly Bear Level | March Speed | Enemy Lethality |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | +15% | β1.5% |
| 20 | +17% | β2% |
| 30 | +19% | β2.5% |
| 40 | +21% | β3% |
| 50 | +23% | β3.5% |
| 60 | +25% | β4% |
| 70 | +27% | β4.5% |
| 80 | +30% | β5% |
Who Should Prioritize It?
Mostly economic F2P player
Lion first, Grizzly Bear second.
Balanced player
Lion 40, then Grizzly Bear 20β30.
Highly active PvP player
Lion 40, then Grizzly Bear 30β40.
Rally leader
The Grizzly Bear becomes more valuable, but it is still generally worth developing the Lion enough first so Gift of the King can begin generating long-term returns.
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£6οΈβ£ HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU SAVE FOR G3?
The costs below assume both Lion and Grizzly Bear start at Level 1.
They include the resources required to reach the specified level without completing the Advancement that comes after the final listed level.
| Plan | π Pet Food | π Growth Manuals | π§ͺ Nutrient Potions | π Promotion Medallions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lion 40 + Grizzly 10 | 67,520 | 185 | 10 | 0 |
| Lion 40 + Grizzly 30 | 96,280 | 275 | 10 | 0 |
| Lion 50 + Grizzly 40 | 168,160 | 495 | 40 | 0 |
These costs follow the shared G3 progression curve used by Lion and Grizzly Bear.
Minimum Plan
Lion 40 + Grizzly Bear 10
Best suited to players with limited resources.
You gain:
- a Lion already producing good long-term value;
- the Grizzly Bearβs base skill;
- no Promotion Medallions consumed.
Recommended Balanced Plan
Lion 40 + Grizzly Bear 30
This is an excellent starting point for many players.
You gain:
- Gift of the King every 39 hours;
- +19% March Speed;
- β2.5% enemy Lethality;
- two Pets developed enough to begin meaningful Refinement.
Powerful Plan
Lion 50 + Grizzly Bear 40
An excellent launch plan for players who have saved heavily.
You gain:
- Gift of the King every 35 hours;
- +21% March Speed from Grizzly Bear;
- β3% enemy Lethality;
- higher Refinement ceilings.
Promotion Medallion Warning
Reaching Level 50 itself does not require Promotion Medallions.
However, progressing a G3 Pet from Level 50 to Level 51 requires the relevant Advancement, including:
- 190 Growth Manuals;
- 30 Nutrient Potions;
- 10 Promotion Medallions.
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£7οΈβ£ EXACT PLAN FOR THE DAY G3 ARRIVES
Step 1 β Capture the Lion
Do not delay its capture unnecessarily.
Step 2 β Raise it to Level 10
Unlock Gift of the King and activate it immediately.
Its next cooldown only begins after you use the skill.
Step 3 β Capture and raise the Grizzly Bear to Level 10
This unlocks its combat skill.
Step 4 β Raise the Lion to Level 40
This is your first major target.
Step 5 β Raise the Grizzly Bear to Level 20 or 30
Adjust based on your resource stock and how active you are in PvP.
Step 6 β Start G3 Refinement
Use mainly Common Taming Marks for the first qualities.
Step 7 β Target easy quality promotions
Prioritize especially:
- Infantry Health;
- Archer Lethality.
Step 8 β Raise the Lion to Level 50
This reduces Gift of the King to a 35-hour cooldown and increases its Refinement ceiling.
Step 9 β Gradually introduce Advanced Taming Marks
Use them once Common Taming Marks become inefficient at higher qualities.
Step 10 β Start preparing for the next generation
Do not immediately chase six perfect stats on both G3 Pets.
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£8οΈβ£ SPECIAL PLAN β G3 ARRIVES IN 17 DAYS
Here is what you should do immediately.
π« Moose
Below Level 15
β‘οΈ Raise it to Level 15.
Level 15 or higher
β‘οΈ Stop all non-essential investment.
π Cheetah
Below Level 20
β‘οΈ Level 20 can still be considered only if it does not compromise your G3 stockpile.
Level 20 or higher
β‘οΈ Generally stop.
Level 30 or higher
β‘οΈ Make no additional investment before G3.
Obviously, continue using its skill every 23 hours.
πΊ Gray Wolf, π Lynx, and 𦬠Bison
β‘οΈ Keep them at their current levels. β‘οΈ Do not spend rare resources on them. β‘οΈ Do not try to finish them.
πΉ Common Taming Marks
β‘οΈ Save the majority.
A reasonable exception is a stat extremely close to a quality promotion, especially during an event that rewards Refinement.
πΈ Advanced Taming Marks
β‘οΈ SAVE ALL OF THEM
Do not spend them on G1 or G2 with only 17 days remaining before G3.
π Pet Food
β‘οΈ Save.
π Growth Manuals
β‘οΈ Save.
π§ͺ Nutrient Potions
β‘οΈ Save.
π Promotion Medallions
β‘οΈ ABSOLUTE PRIORITY: SAVE THEM
ββββββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£9οΈβ£ WHICH G3 PET SHOULD YOU REFINE FIRST?
The answer is not simply βLion.β
Refinement stats are permanent and stack regardless of which Pet provides them.
If Lion and Grizzly Bear both have no Refinement progress
Generally start with Lion because you will normally have leveled it higher first.
If Lion already has several advanced qualities
Compare it with Grizzly Bear.
Early Grizzly Bear promotions may provide better value than continuing to force expensive Lion improvements.
If several stats are close to a quality threshold
Refine whichever Pet can most efficiently secure:
- Infantry Health;
- Archer Lethality;
- or several quality upgrades at once.
Final Rule
Refine the Pet with the best next breakpoint, not necessarily the Pet with the highest level.
ββββββββββββββββββ
2οΈβ£0οΈβ£ AUTO OR MANUAL REFINEMENT?
π€ Auto Refinement
It can be useful when:
- all six stats are still low;
- positive gains are easy to identify;
- no important stat is close to a quality promotion;
- you are using Common Taming Marks.
π§ Manual Refinement
It becomes preferable when:
- several stats have already reached higher qualities;
- Infantry Health or Archer Lethality is close to a threshold;
- a red result could secure a new quality;
- every Taming Mark has become valuable;
- you are using Advanced Taming Marks.
Rule
The further your Refinement progresses, the less you should let automation make decisions for you.
ββββββββββββββββββ
2οΈβ£1οΈβ£ WHEN SHOULD YOU SPEND PET RESOURCES?
Taming Marks and Advancement materials can also generate value during certain events.
The same resource expenditure can then provide:
- Pet progression;
- event points;
- additional rewards.
Recommendation
Save resources when:
- no urgent progression threshold is blocking you;
- a suitable event is approaching;
- the next generation has not yet arrived.
Spend immediately when:
- you need Moose Level 15 to unlock Lion;
- Lion has just been captured and needs Level 10;
- waiting would cost you several Gift of the King activations;
- an upgrade is required for an important battle.
Do Not Make This Mistake
Do not leave a newly captured Lion sitting at Level 1 for several days purely to wait for an event.
The value lost from delayed Gift of the King activations may be greater than the event points you gain by waiting.
ββββββββββββββββββ
2οΈβ£2οΈβ£ STRATEGY BY PLAYER PROFILE
π F2P
Target:
- Lion 40;
- Grizzly Bear 10β30;
- Lion 50 afterward;
- Rare G3 quality on several stats;
- Epic only on priority stats if your stock allows it;
- preserve a reserve for G4.
Do not chase Mythic or Legendary on every Pet.
π³ Low Spender
Target:
- Lion 40β50;
- Grizzly Bear 30β40;
- several Rare G3 stats;
- a few Epic stats;
- selective use of Advanced Taming Marks.
π Mid Spender
Target:
- Lion 50β60;
- Grizzly Bear 40β50;
- Epic Infantry Health and Archer Lethality;
- balanced development of the remaining stats;
- preserve a Promotion Medallion reserve.
π Rally Leader or Heavy Spender
The Grizzly Bear becomes more valuable.
You can aim for:
- a heavily developed Lion;
- Grizzly Bear Level 50+;
- advanced Refinement on both;
- high-quality Infantry Health and Archer Lethality.
But even with a large budget, perfecting an older Pet can still be less efficient than preparing for the next generation.
ββββββββββββββββββ
2οΈβ£3οΈβ£ THE MAIN MISTAKES TO AVOID
β Maxing every Pet before moving to the next one
Returns become increasingly inefficient.
β Emptying your inventory just before G3
You lose the ability to immediately develop Lion and Grizzly Bear.
β Forgetting Moose Level 15
Your Lion progression can be blocked when it becomes available.
β Leveling Cheetah only for Pet Food
The extra levels can take months to pay for themselves.
β Using Advanced Taming Marks on early qualities
Common Taming Marks are generally sufficient.
β Believing a rejected Refinement is free
The Taming Mark is still consumed.
β Automatically accepting every green result
Total Power does not understand your strategic priorities.
β Automatically rejecting every red result
Securing a higher quality can be worth more than a small temporary Power loss.
β Refining only your favorite Pet
Stats from all Pets stack together.
β Chasing six perfect stats
The cost increases dramatically.
β Leveling Moose to increase Bear Hunt damage
Its skill does not function as a direct DPS buff against this target.

π THE FINAL RULE
The strongest account is not the one with the highest-level Pet.
It is not the one that spends every Taming Mark as soon as it receives one either.
The strongest account is the one that knows:
- when to level;
- when to refine;
- when to switch Pets;
- when to accept an imperfect result;
- and, most importantly, when to stop spending.
Before every upgrade, ask yourself three questions:
1οΈβ£ What real value will I gain?
2οΈβ£ Could this same resource provide more value somewhere else?
3οΈβ£ Is a more valuable generation arriving soon?
When G3 is close, the answer is often simple:
π¦ SAVE TODAY. BECOME STRONGER TOMORROW.
